The bottom of my site tells you what I am using (Wordpress and K2), both openly available. I am using the MINA theme which included a header graphic of that forrest. Easily changeable. To answer your question - No, never heard of it. But maybe the creator of the theme did and he/she stole it from Hicks.

I wasn't trying to imply that you were stealing your layout (they're not that similar). It's just that your site reminded me of Hicks Design (which is a fairly popular design site). Thought thier might have been a little bit of inspiration taken from the birch trees. I guess you don't really know, though 🙂.
