TWC - i pay for 12/1 which is the fastest i can actually get without going to business class. i get 30 down because i purchased my own DOCIS3 modem and TWC system is too stupid to figure out whats going on and bumped me to a non existent tier for my area

$29.95 for 12/1.5 on Uverse. Everyone dogs Uverse, but out of the 6 years I've been using it, I've had one instance where my connection was shit ass slow but still worked. My only gripe is that the upload on it isn't that great.

Ok, how is this even possible? Using OpenVPN to Chicago (I'm in Dallas), I get this:

The first test is normal internet, and second test is via OpenVPN. With OpenVPN, ping is higher, which is expected. Download is lower, also expected. Upload is more than double? o_O

My parents have 25/25 FiOS service. I get about 50/2 service with RCN back in my apartment in Queens. And wicked-fast service from my lab at NYU.
