Hmmm...something is not right...

I did the test again after a restart and got this...

32000 Par
31.1 FPS (27.2)
994 Kp/sec (879)
1008 Kp/sec (1016)

Big difference from my first post :confused:

Radeon's do have major driver issues under 2k FYI, read AnAnd's comparision of Radeon and nVidia 2k drivers. The ATI drivers get stomped under 2k, that may explain the difference. Hope that it helps.

I thought that this benchmark was supposed to pretty much test your memory and not the video card.

Smbu, thats true, but it still has to make OpenGL calls to put the particles on the screen, which means going through the driver and AGP bus.

Mixxen, thats a great score, and it makes sense that its higher after a restart. Btw there are like 4 other Celeron-II users that have reported really great scores, especially considering their FSB speeds! I wonder what it is about the CeleronII, maybe its the cache structure?? Your celery does *not* suck ass =)

i get 358/439 on sandra... my bus speed is 140 and cas latency is 222.. probably need a reboot
