You need an older version of quake, cuz I dont know how to do it on new ones
in consol, type
timedemo 1
demo demo01


I think thats it.

in version 1.27 the commands to run the timedemo is:

timedemo 1

demo demo127

I like using Q3Bench. It is free, and allows complete FPS benchmarking at selected supported resolutions, looping, and other features. You could also run more intense demos from the Reverend's 3D Pulpit.

800x600x16...79.5 fps with sound on. Not too terribly bad for a V3 3000.
BTW.. Anyone remember how to loop Q3A Demo??

OR you can bring down the console with a &quot;`&quot; and then type in &quot;timedemo 1&quot;. then close the console and click on demo, then double click on one of the 2 demos! That works just as well.
