alright, just please give us a little glimpse at your experiences. Is this Kington really the cheaper XMS-eXcuter? Ocing experience, stability, tech support, anything, as well as sys specs please.

so many of us are wondering about this cheaper XMS alternative (including myself): PLEASE enlighten us!

Check out the review over at Legit Reviews...
They just did a review with the HyperX PC-3500 Versus the Corsair PC-3200 and PC-3500
The cool thing is that they tested them on both Intel and AMD computers.

They got the HyperX up to 464mhz on an Intel System!

That review leaves a lot to be desired, but I agree, its good RAM based on other reviews I've read. Here's some lowlights from that review:

Results: The leader on both tests was the Corsair XMS3500. It was not ahead by that much, but 46 points on 3dmark is a noticeable difference.

Hehe I bet you could find 46pt swings by simply running 3dmark a few times :)

Also, I got a nice kick out of the graph for Sandra Memory Bandwisth @ 434DDR. For some reason, 3 pt differential between 3309 and 3306 yields a bar 3x as large :)
Its also unclear whether they tried relaxing the timings on the Corsair to get it to run 474DDR or whatever setting they used.

But yah, this RAM is 4.6ns based on Kingston's tech sheets. My only concern would be latency issues beyond Cas 2; as the latest review on nForce2 boards show that high FSB without low latency timings (cas 2) can result in negative performance.

I have the Kingston Hyperx ram in my computer now. I have a Epox 8RDA+. The highest I can get the fsb is only 180mhz. I do not know if it is the memory or the board. I have some Corsair on order to try out. I will have to wait and see.

Try running Memtest86 with the memory running at SPD, asynchronously to the FSB.

I haven't beat the poo out of my PC3500 just yet, but at aggressive speeds at much lower speeds it's really stable! :) (to be expected) I got this memory with headroom in mind. I dont plan on actually hitting 434 MHz (don't think it's possible with my CPU/mobo setup) but who knows.

I've seen the HyperX sticks do extremely well. I say this based on my friends system, who had Corsair PC3500, could only get his 8RDA+ to 185 tops... Now with his HyperX sticks, he can push 200+ easily. Also, the #1 3dmark2003 score by OPPAINTER from the XtremeSystems forums was done on HyperX sticks, and he, along with plenty of others on the XS and AOA forums, have had tons of success with the Kingston HyperX sticks.

No, it was the really cool looking blue heat spreader that won my heart.

Actually the guys at www.xtremesystems.org seem to love the stuff, and when their 3DMark kings can get 237MHz in dual channel mode on an Abit NF7-S then I'm sold, even if I could never hope to mod my board to be able to push the memory that high...

excellent RAM for the price, definitely buy it if you cannot afford XMS.
By the way what happened to Mushkin?

They're blue.
And following your logic, ya act as if Corsair doesn't do the same.

bunny was referring to Mushkin memory, not Kingston.
