It's not a HT, but it's a loud stereo that does what I want it to do. The Noisemaker
2 Cerwin Vega E715
1 NAD C370
1 NAD C270
1 NAD C541

I like it, it sounds nice. The amps are very transparent. I have no need for sound fields or any of that fancy stuff myself.

Here's my setup.
55" Integrated HDTV Platinum Series WS-55859 Here
Sony DVP-NC655P ProgScan DVD Here
JVC HR-3600u SVHS VCR Here
JVC RX-9000v Receiver Here
JVC XL-MC334 200 CD Changer Here
RCA Directv Receiver

SPEAKERS
Polk CS400i Center Here
Polk RT800i Left and Right Mains Here
Polk f/x500i Left and Right Surrounds Here
Infinity BU-120 Powered Subwoofer Here

I went from a 27" JVC to the 55" Mits and it's incredible. The receiver comes with an RF remote that lets me change stations and crank up the volume from outside or any room in the house. Sorry, I don't have a digicam so I had to link to pics on the web.

OK, here we go. No in-action pics; I'm cooking dinner. :p This HT gets me in trouble everywhere I go. :D It's about matching components. All speakers have been measured with a tape measure to be equidistant from each other. TV has been calibrated w/Avia HT DVD. Speaker levels set with a DB meter.

I do it right. It sounds better than uncalibrated rigs costing 2x as much.

TV: Sony KV45 (I think that's the model #) 32" Trinitron. Not a WEGA (I wish) flat top to bottom, but not left to right.

Receiver: Kenwood VR-409 (110W x 5 @ 8 Ohms, RMS) receiver passes everything from 100Hz up to speakers, below 100Hz to sub.
DVD: Samsung P-421 Progressive Scan

Speakers:
Kenwood Matched Set.
Fronts: 8" midwoof, 5.25" mid, 2" tweet.
Center: Dual 5.25 mids, 2" tweet.
Surround: Dipole: 6" mid, dual 2" tweets

Sub:
Cerwin Vega LS-15. 15" ported sub. 200W RMS amp.

All speaker wiring is 10-gauge for front/mid, 14-gauge surrounds. Monster Cable interconnects throughout.

Entertainment center.

Arrest me please, subwoofer.

Right surround

Left surround

I really should upgrade receiver and TV, but my neighbors bitch all the time. Until I get new neighbors, I can't get new equipment (live in an apt):

Panasonic 27" (it curves!!!!)
Pioneer DV-C503 DVD
Yamaha RXV-595a receiver
Energy C2 fronts
Energy AC-300 center
Energy Take2 rears
Energy EXL-S12 sub

Trying to figure out what I want to throw into my HTPC, I wanna make it look nice. Then again, this is coming from a guy that uses milk crates for speaker stands (hey, they're plastic, they don't reverb, and 2 of them is the perfect height).

Your rig owns mine. I don't even have a TV hooked up. I just have my PC with a 3-piece set of Cyber Acoustic speakers. (great sound, IMO... loud enough to drive my mother crazy. I wish I had my own place... I'm working on it.)

Long live the classics. Now if only I can find an NES and a TV. I just gave mine to my older sister. Yeah, that's right... she plays it more than I do.

Panasonic DVDRP82s - Monster cables linking everything

CystalFontz 20x4 LCD
Logitech Cordless Freedom KB+optical mouse
Windows XP Pro SP1 running at 848x488 60hz (haven't had any luck getting anything but this res and some crazy high res @ 29hz that makes everything unreadable)

(Misc)
Playstation 2 connected with Monster component cable
Logitech wireless rumble pad

Even though the promedia's sound great, this setup is in my basement which is a pretty large room, so those little speakers have a hard time filling it... When I get some spare cash (not gonna be awhile since half the people in my house are doing temp jobs, or have seasonal jobs that haven't picked up yet) I'm going to get a better sound system... I love the way klipsch speakers sound so I will probably go with them and an HK/denon receiver...

Word to the unwise (like my stupid ass) don't play vice city with that damn radar turn on, I'm starting to get burn in on my hdtv from that ring :( You can only really see it when that part of the screen is mostly a single bright color, but I know it is there and it drives me nuts...

I got a canon s400 so I took some pics while I was playing with it :D

I love these threads.:) Here's mine:

Intergrated amp: Yamaha DSP-A3090
Projector: Panasonic PT-L300U
DVD: Panasonic CP72
Hughes 35hr HDVR2 DirecTiVo which I just upgraded to 107 hours.
Klipsch KSB 1.1 speakers for fronts and surrounds.
Klipsch SC.5 for center channel.
HSU VTF-2 subwoofer.

I'm shopping for a HDTV receiver now.

I don't know the specs but I know my dad it decked out at the time.

It has an Onkyo receiver, 2 Bose front channels, 1 bose center channel, 2 bose rear channels. Our subwoofer.... thats from a company I can't remember right now, but thats decked out too. He basically chose the top of the line stuff that HH Gregg sold. We have a High Definition screen, a really nice DVD player. I would post pics but I don't have a digital camera. Its looks very nice actually.

Heres our plan for the basement once we've finished it:

7.1 Speakers, I think hes going to get these from Bose or the ones Ovation reccomended
Receiver - Hes pretty open on this but I think he might get an Onkyo again since the one we ahve is so good
A Projection system because he wants higher quality and bigger screen, we're going to do the 132 or is it 142inch screen for this.

Basically, hes gonna deck out on that too to the max.
