Here's a few programs you could try and see if they work with you motherboard.

there's also a program called MBProbe, it's somwhere on that site.. .so look around, hope this helps.

"I can run this machine for days on end with prime95 and seti. That seems to tell me that the processor is stable.

But for some reason games freeze after about 20-30 minutes of play. If the games run this long and then fail is my only chance for stability better cooling? The processor rarely tops 38c under full load.

I'm sure you fellas have run across this scenario, should I just back down to 1 gig and be happy or am i missing some kind of AGP bios setting? Ram CAS 2-2-2 and 3-3-3 don't make a difference.

I had a similar problem awhile ago... I was getting random reboots as well as nothing found on the IDE2 controller, among other problems. Replaced the power supply and all of my problems went away.

Not sure if people have figured this out yet but under advanced search you can sort by post date, I just set mine to my join date, pretty quick.

Topic Title: Overclocking Katmai PIII 450 on crappy intel board


I have a fairly good idea what I'm doing, but some positive feedback never hurt anyone. I'm overclocking my PIII450 using soft FSB, and upping the core voltage by taping off some pins on the slot.. anyone else done this before? *crosses his fingers*
