"No matter where you go, there you are." - Buckaroo Banzai
sheryl crow ;)

Buckaroo Banzai said that 20 years ago ;)
I know, that quote has been around since the 1600's and maybe even before. If I'm not mistaken it's even in Canterbury Tales. I was just listing to that song a few minutes ago when I saw your post.

"It is far better to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the grey twilight that knows not victory, nor defeat." -- Theodore Roosevelt

Holy crap! I almost pissed myself when reading that. For some reason I find this hilarious. (not that I condone violence.......)

Murphy's Laws:

1. Nothing is as easy as it looks.
2. Everything takes longer than you think.
3. Anything that can go wrong WILL go wrong.
4. If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, at a minimum, the one that causes the most damage will go wrong.
5. If it is impossible for something to go wrong, it will DEFINITELY go wrong.
6. Left to themselves, things will go from bad to worse.
7. If things seem to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

This isn't verbatim, but it's the gist of it. I'm sure you can look it up.

From the Ollie North trial:

Prosecutor: "So the inspectors were there, looking for the documents."
Ollie North: "Yes"
P: "And you knew they were looking for the documents"
O: "Yes"
P: "And you were knowingly destroying those very documents, not two rooms away from where they were currently searching?"
O: "It was their job to find the documents; it was my job to destroy them. I'd think I won."

Man, if you're going to go down you might as well go down arrogantly satisfied with what you've done. :p

Also, T. Roosevelt is responsible for the downfall of this country. I wish someone had put a bullet in his head.
