My portable gear:
- 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display. Amazing blend of a great screen, long battery life and a killer trackpad. Still think it's the gold standard for laptops.
- iPhone 6 64GB. Yeah, I like Android, but the iPhone is very fluid and has a couple of aces up its sleeve. The camera is both high-quality and very consistent (i.e. it doesn't freak out if it gets dark), and Touch ID is supremely handy for keeping the phone secure without entering a PIN or password every single time.
- Pebble smartwatch. This'll probably be kicked to the curb as soon as the Apple Watch hits, but I still like it. It has good battery life, it's comfortable and there's a healthy market for watchfaces and apps.
- Monster in-ear headphones. Yeah, it's Monster, but I'm procrastinating on getting a replacement pair. As it stands, the bass-heavy sound does work well for electronic music.
- A rotation of devices from other platforms: I own a Nexus 5 and a Lumia 1020, and I regularly take peeks at other Android and Windows Phone devices... while my mainstays are Apple gear, I'm definitely comfortable with other platforms.
