I see CPUmark is single threaded because my cpu voltage stayed low between 1.24-1.50 volts.
My 9900k score is 892.
Set the first few cores to x 51 and gained 8 pts or a 899 score.Gave it 4 cores to x 51 for a 909,910 score.

Guess it's a very light hitting app for todays CPU's as my vcore at 4.0ghz was 1.104v's under load

My wifes pc still has a 2700k at 4400 that can hit 5.1that is only used less 15 minutes a week since it was new every few years I use special app in Magician to rewrite its 840 ssd.The case is to small or I would use water or a intel core i7 3770k.

Yes I am the one that makes the CPUmark99 post every few years. I've been benching my systems with this since my P5-90 that scored a 5.5. While it's integer only and not multithreaded it still provides a good indication of the strength of a core. And it's fun to compare systems from 20 years ago to today using the same benchmark.

I had a stuck P5 also which I stuck a intel overdrive in for 66x3 or 198 in 94.

In this benchmark the MHz/CPUmark99 ratio hasn't changed since Haswell for Intel. That number has been approximately 5.6. Meaning 5.6MHz to generate 1 CPUmark99 point score.

AMD has caught up to Intel for this old benchmark with Zen 2, which also scores 5.6 in the MHz/CPUmark99 ratio as well.

Going out on a limb here... In this single threaded benchmark it seems as though a wider front end/back end, better out of order predictor and other standard IPC improvements make no difference. Seems to be a very sequentially oriented benchmark meaning there probably isn't any more instruction level parallelism to be had.

Power profile in control panel significantly changes results. "Best performance" kills single threaded performance as the CPU is loaded to base to turbo 1 clocks the entire time.

Results from 5x tests with best and worst thrown out.

I normally run this thing at 5.1-5.2 outside of 5.3 all core benchmark runs. First time I've tried limited core OC stuff. Interesting.

Ha anyone been able to overclock their 1 ghz cpu (socket A with KT7-Raid) beyond 1.150 ghz and be stable??? Brag here abbout how high and with what settings.
