Post your best download speed (sustained) EVAR! Be sure to include your ISP/connection type, transfer protocol or app used and other relevant data. Hide filenames when necessary...I don't wanna see you downloading "jenna_loves_rocco.mpg"!!!

Just had mine today:

Time-Warner Cable, Toshiba PCX1100U, Netgear RT314
downloading from my Dixie web server, through FTP of course...
 
Back when I was in college and on campus, we had 100mbit between buildings. Got my best ever speeds there.

Now using residential broadband, probably something in the range of 400-500kb/sec.
 
180MB in about 18 seconds (yay Intranet!)

...that 180MB file took about 19 hours. (2.7kB/sec) 🙁
 
prolly 85-90 KB/sec on my 768/128 SBC DSL connection....i think it was a bunch of mp3s i was dling on kazaa lite
 
Between work and home (entirely on the campus network) I see ~5-6MB/s, from dorm to dorm I've seen up to 8.5MB/s.

Best internet speed was 38mb/s (4.75MB/s) curtesy of multiple connections to a very nice usenet server 🙂
 
Damn...lots of high results here! I forgot to think about net speed back in my college days. On campus at UNC we were definately somewhere between 50/100mbit, but for the Internet we were capped at 5-10mbit :disgust:

My pipe's like 10 inches, and I pay about $20 for a lap dance, or $200 for a full service. 😀
