Where didyou get a hold of that chip?? Have a CPU-Z screenie?

It was given to me to play with....😀

cpuz and 3dmark01

It will do better... I'm limited by the 925x chipset on this board but I have a 925xe board coming tomorrow... should be interesting😉

Damn you, why can't I be given stuff like that... That is a nice OC. Are your temps good under load, vcore seems a bit high. Do you get any benefit from running the memory higher then the FSB? I can't wait to see once you get the 925XE board!!

The temps are fantastick.... these 600 series cpu's are only 85watt compared to the regular prescotts at 115watt. After 2hrs of prime it runs 47c with a Swiftech cooler and 92mm fan. That vcore is wrong, for some reason cpuz does not report the correct voltage, it's actually running at 1.45v. The 925xe board will help a lot, I'm limited to 265fsb with this one and to get the most out of the DDR2 I need all the fsb I can get. As far as running the ram faster then the fsb... I tried it both ways and this gives me the best bandwidth. I get 10600 in Memstat and over 7k and 4k in Sandra buffered and non buffered. I'll start a thread on here when I get the new board installed, it should be here tomorrow.

mine was low 79,000ish

forget the exact number

with a 3400+ and x800xt @ pe

i forgot what i had my cpu running at, but thats my highest aqua score

Is 1.45 your setting in the BIOS? Wow I wasn't aware they are 85Watts. Yeah those temps are really good, about even with my 3.2E @ a lowly 3.76😱 Can't wait to see your results with the new board!! Oh and my Pressy is a 89 Watt.

yeah boshuter, you're really wanting me to get something like an x800xt or higher cuz i my score pretty is now gpu limited!!!

dang, maybe i'll have to get a x850xt pe or x800xt pe

It may be gpu limited..... but that's an awesome score with that XL card, I had no idea they would run that high. I'm just trying to figure out how I can match your CPU score😉 I still have a 3.8es that I haven't had a chance to try yet... hmm.....maybe😀

Hello, I'm a new member. I ran AQ3 for the first time on this computer I just built today for the first time. As you can see from my specs in my signature, this is my first machine that I've built and overclocked.

My scores ended up being:
CPU 6200
GPU 6500
Total 45600

Welcome to AT..🙂 and congrats on your first build

6800GT SLI

I was expecting much more: 74900

Is this right??? I was getting 71,000+ before SLI (Imagine CPU plays much stronger role in Aquamark?)

With my x700pro at 504/536 and my cpu at 2.5 I got this : AquaMark Score: 63187 (CPU: 11552, GFX: 8697)

Not bad for a $420 cpu/vid/mobo combo.

Hi

I previously hadn't put a machine together in years, but recently did so. What I thought would be an absolute gem of a machine (see below) only fetched between 39,000 and 40,000 in Aquamark3. I haven't changed anything in the bios and haven't overclocked the CPU or graphics card. The memory runs at 3-3-3-8 by default. I changed it to 2.5-3-3-8 without much change in the score. I know it's not the best RAM, but the scores I am achieving could be achieved on an Athlon XP 2500+ with 512MB RAM and a GeforceFX or Radeon 9800. I am running Windows XP Home. What did I do wrong??? Please help, please!

you are probably limited at this moment by your cpu.

most people that have posted scores are running cpu speeds between 2.4 to 2.6 ghz

i'm sure if you try overclocking your cpu to these speeds you would notice a nice increase in your score.

Hi

I ran it last night, got 54k-55k.

I had my Xp CPU set to only 2200mhz, and my 6800GT set to "Quality" instead of "performance"

I'd say somethings not quite right in your setup.

BTW, I'm using driver version 71.84.

I think the answer to your question was below your post....considering he did that with same speed and 2x 6600GTs.....
