yep, the 45.23s are whats keeping NV in my box right nowOriginally posted by: DAPUNISHER
Just ran it with the 45.23's and I'm very impressed with themBeautiful IQ and still excellent performance boost over the 44.71's

Guru3D seems to think it is definitely a step in the right direction compared top 3DmockOriginally posted by: Paveslave
CPU = 7,465
GFX = 4,974
Total = 37,309
Aqua Mark Benchy 37,309
Aqua mark is cool, I had to DL it for the first time to run this benchmark. Should I use this now over 3DMark03, 01?
So, it definitely sounds like despite some initial criticism about intel and nVidia having Aqua in their pockets that it is a better benchmark.Even with the little time we had with this software, I think it's safe to say that this benchmark will be used broadly by a lot of reviewers and people like yourself, as it will set a new standard in benchmarking. The benchmark looks good and produces very steady/solid numbers. Next to that, it's affordable for almost anyone.
According to THG, 45.23's also are reduced quality, cheat drivers. You need to go to 44.03 for proper rendering.Originally posted by: THUGSROOK

...very nice driver set![]()
NVIDIA v44.03: Renders a correct image. Faultless anisotropic filtering;
v45.23: Deterioration of quality. Light on terrain is not displayed. Light on objects is not displayed (sometimes). Shadows are not displayed;
NVIDIA v51.75: Deterioration of quality. Light on objects is not displayed. Very low anisotropic filtering quality.
The performance numbers change dramatically. From v44.03 to v45.23, the AM3 Triscores climbs 71% and 82% to 51.75. The scores with 8x anisotropic filtering are 70% higher with v45.23 and 92% higher with 51.75 than with v44.03. The anisotropic filtering quality deteriorates very noticeably from 45.23 to 51.75.
We did not find any differences in image quality between ATI´s Catalyst drivers v3.4 and v3.7. The performance of a Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB is about 1.5% faster in v3.7 and this difference can be found in all results and is in the range of natural driver improvements. We only found one case in which the ATI drivers show a lower image quality than NVIDIA´s v44.03 driver.
Quite honestly, I cannot see the difference between the 44.71's and 45.23's when the bench is running. Even though they appear to be reduced quality compared to the 44.03's I'll stick with them till nVidia releases better performing drivers that can produce equal or better IQ.Originally posted by: oldfart

1st of all ~ Tom's shots are incorrect. he states certain shots are takin at a certain frame ~ that is incorrect. 2 of his shots are not where they claim to be (fps wise)
besides that ~ he is 100% correct with his statements.
weather this is true will all games, or just AM3 ~ that i do not know.
det 45.23
frame 3950 = explosion lighting is not there
frame 4250 = shadow is not there
frame 4900 = ship is not entirely lit
next ill try the OMEGA HIQ 45.23 drivers
