. . . . i remember scoring ~2600 and now it's nearly 3,000 (with no other system changes) with my 9800xt.

edit:

Yep, just ran it again . . . getting 2955 now vs. 2650 with the Cats from a few months ago

Nothing in my system has changed . . . tests run in identical circumstances . .. .
my conclusion ATI is getting better optimizing for '05:

Cat 5.5 - 2955

Cat 5.6 - 3005

Cat 5.7 - 3118

[dangerously close to the 6600gt] :Q

:D

not to your extremely O/C'd beastie. . . .

. . . look at the 6600 scores that are NOT o/c'd ;)
[my card is at 'default' core]

and you missed the ':D"

the point is that ATI is making some "improvement" simply in the drivers . . . i am quite sure nVidia is also doing the same . . .

strangely, my games aren't running any faster . . . :Q

Another x700 here:

2.31Ghz Venice
X700 Pro at about 450/900

Not bad for a budget card.

Updated:

x800 Pro @ 555/ 1110 = 5326.

555/555 seems to be my limit as the GPU is now hitting 50C and locks up

My GPU gets up to 100C after much BF2 and GTA: San Andreas (with all options, including AA turned up all the way @ 1280x1024). How can your card be locking up at 50C?!

9700 Pro @ 405/365

Just in case:

If it is half or greater, you round up, otherwise round down.

For example: Round 25 to the nearest tens place. Answer = 30.

example2: Round 24 to the nearest tens place. Answer = 20.

What settings me feels everyone is using different settings
