man, those radeon scores are insane. never realized it pulled so much.

heh, apparently by some of these scores i could jack up a few k by oc'ing, although it seems that would be needlessly excessive

Sorry, jcmkk, gotta disagree w/you. My old rig (GF2GTS/1GHz Athlon B/512mb PC133) scored 5553 in 3DM2001 and 5599 in 3DM2001SE.

There's no way with a GeForce2 that you could get over 5000 on that system.

I just finish install he 27.51 driver and the score is actualy lower
compared with the 23.11 driver. I dunno probably just my system
works better with the 23.11.

here is the score: 8680

It's the same config
ABIT KR7A

XP1900 / 512 DDR
140/140

Asus GF3Ti500 250/520

Peace

5114. Athlon 1.4 @ 1.53, 256mb DDR at Turbo settings, GF2 Pro at Ultra speeds.

I'd bump it down to stock configs but I'm not messing with success.

<< MichaelD - Before I made that post, I looked at all of the 1200MHz GeForce 2 GTS/Pro/Ti at default 3DMark settings and none scored that high. All of the systems in the top spots had a DDR setup and a GeForce 2 Ti which we all know can overclock further than any GTS or Pro. I also don't care what you tell me, but there is really no possible way that you could score 5553 with a GTS, 1GHz CPU and PC133. At least not at default 3DMark settings. The highest score that is posted with your configuration is 4628 and they're running a GeForce 2 Titanium. I don't think you can beat the highest score by almost 1000 points. I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just having a hard time believing your scores are legit. Submit those scores and give me a link, and I'll believe you. >>

Ahhhhhhhhh crap! :| I was looking at the wrong set of notes. My bad. That "5553" score was w/my GF3 on the 1GHz/PC133 rig; not the GF2GTS w/the same rig. My bad. I hate screwing up, b/c that means I have to be man enough to admit it.

I was at work and tired...really. If I remember correctly, I used to score down in the upper 2800-range.

BUT, my 3DM2001SE score w/1.53GHz AthlonXP/512mb PC2100/GF3 nothing overclocked IS 7,323.

6546 - need to figure out whats wrong!!!!

That's right in line for that card. Remeber, this test is v/c intensive, so that's why I can get about the same results as you with a slightly slower system. My ti200 is a Gainward as well which is clocked slightly higher out of the box. If you compare to my score, you are right in line.

Last time I ran 2001 was a few weeks ago, think it was 5998 or somethin' like that. I think my older mobo and cpu are holding me back. That's at 1024x768 32bit color, everything else default settings. Still debating on that newer Pentium or AMD mobo/CPU upgrade :).

Thanks for the pick-me-up Gregor, I guess in that case it's good enough for me. All my games, including Tribes, Tribes II, CounterStrike and Day of Defeat, run just fine so I'll just leave it be.
