thats insane, X800XLs bearly muster a 10% oc...........youve gone 100Mhz +!

anyway

03 = 12660

6800GT, 415mhz/1.1Ghz, Xtreme G 78.03's

05 = simply couldnt be bothered to sit through it. last time i got 5500 ish (different drivers, slower overclock though)

More POW'A!!

3DMark03
1760

Gig of corsair Ram
AMD Sempron 2400+
9600XT OC to an extreme 530mhz

Does that sound about right for that setup?

MR X600 64MB
P-M 1.86Ghz
1.5GB Kingston valueram

3dmark05: 1197

not that bad for a thin & light laptop i guess

your 2600 is holding u back

the 3d mark 2001 test is an all rounder of a test. cpu speed, mem bandwidth, everything plays a part. its more of a system bench than a gpu bench specially with todays cards

i have a 2000+ XP and DDR266 512mb. with a 9500pro it wouldnt muster 10k. put the same gpu in a machine with more bandwidth, faster cpu etc......12k

CPU: Barton running at 2 GHz

Old video card: Radeon 9800
4115 3DMarks '03
New video card: nVidia 6800LE 300/700
6594 3DMarks '03

Are the new (and old) scores low? Just curious before I start trying to unlock pipes.

The new card is noticeably noisier, so I'm wondering if it's somewhat of an unnecessary upgrade for a 2-year old Barton rig. Most complex game I've played was Farcry and the Radeon 9800 seemed to be up to the task. I'm sure I'll go A64 x2 sooner or later.

Edit:
12 pipes, 4 vertex units: 7826 3DMarks '03
12 pipes, 5 vertex units: 8029 3DMarks '03
16 pipes, 5 vertex units: 8722 3DMarks '03

Probably not going to try for the last vertex unit (is it worth it?); maybe will try some overclocking. Not sure what to look for, but without any game testing, I didn't see any artifacts. I haven't registered to access the ORB, so any feedback is appreciated!

Sounds low, I get 2150+ with my

A64 3000+
9600 XT
1 gig ram

X800XL @ 460/1150
3DMark05: 5925
3DMark03: 12600

The core is pretty much at it's limit and the mem is probably close also. It stays pretty cool though since I have an ATI Silencer 5, a large slot cooler, and a 20" fan blowing across the side of my case . . . 😉

EDIT: Scores updated

3DMark05 = 6212

X800Pro 570/500 (modded to 16 pixel pipelines)

Damn this is fast for a card that was sub 4000 out of the box.

Platform:
ASRock dual-939 (ULi chipset)
Athlon64 3700 (stock speeds for this test)
2GB 3200 RAM

Fresh build as of yesterday. Catalyst 5.10 all stock settings

3DMark05 - 5805, running one of the famous evga 6800LE/GT/Ultras of late 2004 with Thugrook's BIOS, OC'd via Rivatuner to 430/1200, using the 81.85 drivers.

Interestingly, it was defaulted at 32MB AGP aperture, vsync on, fast write enabled and ran a 3DMark05 - 3900. Loaded the newest nvidia mobo drivers, set the aperture to 256MB, disabled vsync and fast writes and it ran the 5805!

x800xl at 440/1100 - 5377.

After looking at everyone elses scores with the same GPU I'm feeling a little inadiquate. 😀

🙁

Mine's no AIW X800XT underclocked, but I'm still proud of her!

X800XL
3DMark05: 5744

Any other X800XL users with a better score?

EDIT: A pathetic OC to 432/585 on my XL

Recently built my first AMD rig and it turned out better than I hoped 🙂 , Even FarCry runs great with HDR enabled and im only running a single 7800 GTX (for now) ,Anyhow heres some screens / results:
