cheapest in the zip and it's historical to boot since it's from 1896 (read cold, drafty, and broken down)

 
I win at $17,000.

Holy hell, I paid more than that for my last 4 or 5 cars.

Edit, I guess I didn't win. But damn, this is unbelievable. Of course, you'd have junkies, thieves, and prostitutes as neighbors...
 
this is not a "rich" town but the absolute cheapest in my zip code (NY) is listed at $355k (2 Bed, 1 Bath, 0.14 Acres)... which is more than what I paid for this house in '02. Ouch. I'd hate to be a newly married couple around here.
 
I found a 30+ year old condo/townhome in a really crappy area for $214,900. It's a 2bd 1bth and it's 840 sq ft. I found a detached home that's even smaller for $244,999.

Wow that actually looks pretty decent from the outside for 17k. Hell if I went to IU I'd rather buy that then rent an apartment or live on campus.
