Cooked or uncooked... it doesn't matter as long as it's tasty.

My choice would be leftover rice and beans.

I have some kabobs I made last night.

I used two different meat types. Some pork tenderloin and some petite steak strips.

For the steak pieces I cut them into cubes and put them in a mixing bowl. Added some egg whites, some melted butter and then put on spices. Spiced were a southwest rub along with some cracked pepper, garlic, and sea salt.

For the pork I used some olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I used cracked pepper, seasalt, chopped basil leaves, and oregano.

I took both bowls of meats and let them sit in the fridge for about 30 minutes to marinate. Then put them on water soaked bamboo skewers and cooked them on my grill. The beef I cooked for about 15 minutes and the pork about 25 at 275 degrees.

For veggies I had a sweet onion and a couple of red, orange, yellow, and green bell peppers. I cut them into 1 inch segments and skewered them as well. I brushed on some olive oil and let them cook for about 20 minutes as well on the grill. I also had some grape tomatoes with some sliced mushrooms. Since these don't skewer well I used a grill topper and put them on it with some olive oil brushed on them as well.

Then I put everything into a big bowl and chowed down with friends while watching movies last night. I am as of this moment eating left overs of it for lunch.

I reduced down a bunch of blueberries yesterday and made a pancake syrup out of them and a giant batch of pancakes to go with it. Leftovers are in the fridge. I got breakfast the next two mornings.

Damn that does sound good.

My breakfast yesterday rocked.

Cooked center cut bacon in pan, slowly so it doesn't curl.
Drained grease but didn't clean pan, scrambled 4 large eggs and added to pan
Once cooked added shredded mexican cheese, cooked further to fully melt
Added La Victoria green taco sauce to eggs, stirred in and cooked just a little more to make sure it was all hot since the sauce was refrigerated
Cut medium sized hoagie roll in half, pick out some of the bread from the inside, heat roll
Place cooked bacon in roll where bread was taken out
Add eggs, season with a bit of ground chipotle pepper, eat kick ass breakfast sammich

I'm thinking about making it again for dinner tonight 🙂

Well, the ribeyes and the sea scallops are gone now, so there really isn't anything all that marvelous in my kitchen any more

But damn, those were some tasty medium rare ribeyes 🙂

I'm down to my last couple of peanut butter cookies...but I have a few homemade cranberry muffins waiting in the kitchen.

Made two loaves of three cheese jalapeno bread yesterday. The wife is baking some bread pudding as I type from a loaf of cherry pecan bread that didn't turn out as well as I wanted.

A large ass piece of granite about to get installed that I hand picked from my most recent shipment from Brazil!

Had lunch in Mexican-town (Detroit) today...leftover menudo, chicken mole, and a some pastries from their bakery. MMmmmmm.

Well, left-over chicken tagine from the weekend. ...though i just ate the last bit for lunch.

right now...probably the 10 or so bottles of amazing Syrah (mostly--and all of them left overs) brought back from helping out at massive SF wine-tasting event yesterday. zinfamous will be drinking well, this week.

Today in the fridge... hmmm nothing really *cooked* yet. Yesterday breakfast was great though.

Fresh OJ from the juicer
Fruit smoothe
Breakfast burritos with egg, cheese, veggies, and hot sausage

I do this once every couple months. Kids call it "daddy's secret sauce". 😀

That said, we've some leftover slow-cooked pork tenderloin that we plan on making quasi-cuban sandwiches out of... NOMS.
