I searched for nerdy, geeky, and dorky and didn't get anything with the same premise, but i'm sure i've seen a post like this before.

I'll buck the trend and actually post something about myself...

Back in HS I was really into Highlander. I made this wooden katana...wait, thats not the dorkiest part yet!

i remember one time taking my sword, a cd player, and a cd with Queen's Princes of the Universe on it...can you see where this is going?

yeah, i went outside, cranked up the volume and played that track while doing all kinds of moves with my sword.

luckily i live in a rural area and the house is surrounded by trees.

so post away

I feel this great urge to rename/organize people's mp3 folders.

How the hell can you live with a music folder that has files named 1337_haxorz_Nas_Untitled_track_7-DJ-BLAHBLAHMIX.mp3

i do that with my own. i don't mess do anything on anyone else's PC enough to even notice. my music files ahve to be organized by genre, artist, album, and then each file has to have the artists's name, album name, and song title...

I used to type out lists of all the countries and their capitols when I was 10 years old because it was more fun than playing baseball or Nintendo. That's pretty bad.

Lets just say, one of my favorite quotes held true:

"No matter how hot a girl is, some guy, somewhere, is tired of putting up with her sh*t."

modded my computer in the dorm lounge during summer break - complete with dremel tools and stuff. By the time I was finished spray painting the inside with gold paint (total bling), I built up quite a fan club and made some money modding other computers.

One time my friend was playing Mafia with freeride and was going around killing people until all cops were alerted and they started appearing all over the place. He commented on the many cops going after him, not only in vehicles but on foot as well. Then he asked why you don't see cops on foot patrolling the streets in real life and I said that you see them all of the time. When he told me to give an example, I cited "The Priest" level.

compiled a guide of what is the best possible way to build a computer for under $1000, $1500, $2000, and unlimited.

i must say, its quite extensive and i have paragraphs/research backing my reasons...i have to update the guide past 2004-2005 though. core 2 duo is here (soon to be with cheap core 2 quad)!

I once wrote a computer program to analyze Strat-o-Matic cards (it's a baseball simulation based on actual stats) so I could dominate the league draft. I showed up for the draft with a 3" thick printout of numbers.

lol... i didnt mean to hijack it.... but my friends always laugh at me b/c i "would rather build a computer than get with that hot piece of a$$". So i think that was meat my geekiest. Besides, its not like i hadn't done it the day before anyway.

But after you get with someone almost every day for several months, sometimes you dont mind putting booty off till later. Besides, i hate starting something and not finishing the job.

Did the end justify the means?

Yes and no. I didn't know how to program before I started, so I learned a lot. But I didn't win the league.
