Came by this on Wikipedia, thought it was pretty cool. Post anything you have that's high res and neat, interesting, beautiful, whatever.

EDIT: Crap, thought I was in OT. Can a mod please move?

Moved to OT at OP's request

You think this is computer aided? I think its a normal photo a tad over exposed (notice the trails on some boats/ski's).

Yes, I do think it used HDR. But then again, I am not really too much into photography.

That's not technically HDR. It's a normal photo, they just used a long exposure time. The photo was taken at night, so if they had used a short exposure, the photo would be too dark. By using a longer exposure, details in the mountains behind the city, as well as finer details within the city, emerge, at the expense of bright areas becoming blown out. You can tell it's a long exposure because of the motion trails on the boats and on traffic.

That pic is going to be downloaded about 100000x before the mods remove it.

Incidentally, if anyone has any hi res pictures of birds of prey, I'd be very interested in them.

And thanks PC Surgeon for moving this.

looks like there was some kind of mistake, since this one looks like the one that was heavily edited(i still wouldn't call it HDR, more like USM high radii and adding contrast).
you can see the halos around the buildings and trees on the bottom right.

the original, on the other hand, looks like an out of the camera low contrast pic, especially with all the haze in the air.

what HDR? you mean the lack of HDR?

No, I think he means you shouldn't post in photography threads if you're unable to tell that is processed.

and what makes you think he, or you are the one that can tell?

Do you even know what HDR is?
You don't use HDR on a low contrast image.. there's no need because the range is small to begin with.
