depends on where they consider the middle... look on google maps, looks like Reno can be further west than LA to me

You have to look at Google Earth...maps only shows the US map, not how it's placed on the globe. The continent is actually at an angle.

One absolute contraindication to receiving the medication Pulmozyme is an allergy to Chinese hamster ovaries.

(I know this stuff because I am a doctor...still pretty funny though.)

seasonal rise & fall of water temperature at the beach LAGS the rise & fall of sunny days temp by about 2 months, because water absorbs & releases btu's nore slowly than air.

When school's out & you hit the beach, that June water is c o l d like April air. When school starts & you've gotta go back, the Sept. ocean is just starting to get to a nice July-air temp.

(but it's always cold where I live)

It's a factor of the projection. The projections we use to preserve distance and area distort direction.. The northern border of the US is straight along a line of latitude, but it appears curved on the projections we usually use. A Mercator projection preserves direction.

Coke, a.k.a. cocaine, was used pervasively in the early 1900's. The Southern states finally agreed to a federal ban because they were afraid that the negro would use it, become sexually enraged, and rape their white women.
