On another subject:
Speaking of women and their relationships with one another: Everyday I come to realise that more girls share the view that females are generally gossips and envious, so they prefer male friends (also my preference since childhood, with just one or two real female friends). However, when you come to think of it, if we are all thinking this way of each other, then maybe we're at fault? Maybe some day we'll come to accept that backbiting isn't exactly a good thing we should continue? I remember reading an article about gossipping used as a weapon during the Elizabethan era. Here's a quote: "Gossipmongering and heated public exchanges were weapons used by women to wield power and influence in a male-dominated society where they were often excluded, according to University of Warwick history professor Bernard Capp who has traced the history of Elizabethan street theater in a book called 'When Gossips Meet.'"
I now understand how it could have been of use to women in those days. But now, come on . . . what good do we gain from this with more liberty granted to women? I guess habits are hard to overcome.
Another thing that kind of puzzles me is members PMing other members to say how so and so has written this about the member they're PMing. Is that really necessary? I'm sure there are exceptions (such as an entire thread made for and directed toward them, a sig, a positive compliment/praise that may have been missed), but generally it seems to me so trivial and childish to PM another member for a statement made with their names mentioned or indirect statement made. Let someone see it for herself or himself. I guess that's the other busybody method common amongst people that feel they must meddle into things explicitly addressed to someone else.

i try to ignore people.. it just pisses me off so much when they drag things on for fvcking ever. im also a very sarcastic person which is definitely not good for the internet cause its hard to tell, but i always put 😛 or 😉 or something ... people still get SO offended though. oh well. there are the mature people that can let something little go and then there are the kind that shouldnt be socializing at all... even on an online nerd forum :X 😛 ill try to take your advice and ignore the latter 🙂
