LDR's suck, but if you send snail mail to each other and stay in touch online the time goes by faster. My gf's in Seattle, and I'm in Austin. 🙁 Can't wait for summer holidays yet.

Long distance sucks ass. But... It most definitely can be done. In addition to snail mail & e-mail, I'd recommend you get a cheap long-distance plan (I'm on a $0.05 plan). It's no substitute for being with them, but talking on the phone beats the heck out of e-mail. I spend ~40 - 45 hours a month on the phone, & while it's expensive the relationship is worth every cent.

AncientPC: You just aren't suppose to say things like that...You are right, and I agree with you...but if you go around saying things like that, one day a woman is going to interpret it as you thinking she's ugly. I understand what you mean, and agree with it...but you have to be careful how you word it or you'll find yourself frequently sleeping on the couch (if you're that lucky).

The girl I like isn't very skinny...she's a little chubby in fact (she's not *fat* but she's not skinny either). I like her that way, she knows I like her that way, and she has no problem with it. But I would never get away with saying it to her.

Becca is a cutie and is quite smart. In fact she's pre-med at one of the universtiies here. She's great but Tina is still my first love. I didn't start seeing the others until Tina started jerking me around. We were going to get married, then she changed her mind, then she wanted to get married, then she didn't, then she did, then she didn't, etc... See a pattern forming? Anyway after about 3 months of that I told her she either had to commit or I was going to start seeing other people. Well, I'm seeing other people but it is driving her crazy. Oh well...it was her decision not mine.

Long distance is hard, very very hard, you both need to want the same things and make it work for it to really work. You both need to totally trust the other one, I can joke about whatever I want but she knows deep down that I would never do anything even close to cheating on her so she justs laughs about it. My girlfriend right now is about 1100 miles away, when we met she had already planned to do this trip for 2 years before she even knew me and I respect that, I wouldn't ask her to drop her dreams just for me. She's going to be gone a total of 13 months, I usually go there about 2 days every 4-5 weeks, it costs a arm and a leg but it's worth it. Anyway got off on an tangent, I don't have any pics, and no I'm not just saying that but I thought I would throw in my 2 cents about long distanc relationships.
 
you go daniel...women can be a part of your life, as long as it doesnt totally revolve around them. nothing beats human contact and if all it cost is money, then you really never lose🙂

Yep viper, it's hard but 6 months would just be too difficult, I'm the official &quot;find a airline flight for other people guy&quot; now too since I've had to keep finding cheap flights over and over again. That and I can't just take a week off or anything at my job so I just take a day and work around wierd weekends and her schedule.
