no you see the ouya controller, the unit itself is in another room

and i have no idea if its worth it or not, i have not done much with it yet because i cant log in because i forgot the password. when i go to the site and try to have them reset it. it says my email addy is not found. when i go to register with the same email addy it says its already being used...... ive emailed them about it and im goig to send a 2nd email soon

Got my VT50 wall mounted now and ran the cables behind the wall last week. It's like being at the movies or at the game now. From 27" CRT to 55" HDTV is amazing!

Well, they're bigger than the Promedias they replaced...

21.25" (53.9cm) x 11.5" (29.2cm) x 12.5" (31.8cm) inside Pro cinema surrounds.

$250 shipped to my door.

I will definitely be storing them inside during the winter. I didn't do that with the computer speakers.

Oh yeah, so I didn't like the fact I couldn't move the floor with the HT being on a concrete floor so I added some bass-shakers to my couch. I bought a 100W plate amp off ebay for $20. Here is before I added two more shakers:

Yeah, It's got a rough texture, but doesn't have all the perforations that normal tiles have. I like it.

The TV is a 65" Vizio XVT3D650SV. Pros are that the contrast is excellent, I got a unit with very little blooming, and the passive 3D is great with the kids. The downside is that the screen is a friggin' mirror. Fortunately, I tend to watch stuff well after sunset.

AVR is a Denon 1713. I've also got a Squeezebox, SageTV HD300, and some low end Panny BD player. LCR speakers are all Hsu Research HB1-MK2s (I rotated the horn on the center). The two subwoofers are Bill Fitzmaurice designed Tuba 18 folded horns that I built over the summer, each with dual 8 inch drivers, both driven in parallel by a 300 watt amp. The bass response is awesome. I just finished the second one last weekend and haven't tried them out on some of the more demanding movies. But they are great for the music I've thrown at them so far.

I got really sick of the cable management issue so I decided to put most of the cables in a more accessible place by creating that 2x2 cable box on the back of the separating wall. I need to do a little more cable management and install a door (most likely with some sort of temperature actuated fan).

By FAR the biggest PIA was the wiring. That four switch panel you see on the second "after" shot includes three separate 3-way switches plus a 4-way switch (the lone switch off to the right controls the overhead fan). I hate electrical work in the best of circumstances. Dealing with that insanity almost pushed me over the edge.
