mailing a package priority mail is already absurd--- 12.35 for medium box and 16.85 for large box.

This. I don't know if the price of a stamp affects package postage, but they are fuckin' ridiculous. Gee I wonder why their union ass that wants to stop Saturday delivery is going down the shitter?

As others have said, I don't use stamps. I only mail legal stuff: IE: Contract cancellation w/ Signature Verifcation which happened like.. once last year to cancel a gym contract.

However, I do enjoy screwing off companies - such as banks - and demand that they give me paper copies of statements instead of the whole B$ "Go (Save us Money plz!) Green" campaign. Also, I love grabbing the advertisements and stuffing them in one of the "Postage Paid" return envelopes to other advertisements and sending them a bunch of heavy junk mail. :D

Jeez, I can't remember the last time it cost 49 cents to mail something here. Must have been the 90s. And we've never had Saturday mail delivery.

Aren't they all "Forever Stamps" now? I don't think you can by a labeled $.46 stamp. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought I saw a headline about that a year ago or so.

Still surviving off a sheet of 10 I bought about a year ago.

looks like it

I'm not bothered with the price increase at all and it's chump change compared with what UPS / Fedex charges.

But we're Americans. We want what we want when we want it and we want to pay nothing or damn near nothing for it. Doesn't matter what it is, that is HOW it is.

Ditch Wednesday and Saturday delivery. Allow package delivery mon-fri. Raise stamp prices to $.75. Drop the stupid retirement funding requirement imposed by the government.

BAM! Profitable.

The lawsuits filed by fat, ugly women...and men would cost more than the entire post office budget...

good

because there is zero reason to deliver letters now. Email them. Everyone has email. If you don't have email, the letters get emailed to some collection point. Like in towns that don't have mail delivery and you have to go to the post office to pick up your mail except you pick up your email.

Package delivery is still needed for now.
