Shipping something in state on Wednesday, chances of it getting there on Friday? Priority mail.

Please speak from personal experience.

Towns are about 50 miles apart in the same state

It will be there Thursday. Even if you shipped 1st class and not priority it should be there next day.

Unless you're really in the middle of nowhere, it should be pretty much guaranteed.

Of course, the above replies are based on the premise that the Post Office does not ship your package using the scenic route, via Guam.

next day....that's such a short trip. Even with teh cheapest service, it should get there next day.

You are in MA, too, right? If so, definately be there next day.
