You can try to fix the refresh rate problem two ways. If it's flickering in windows and you have set it to 85Hz but it still flickers, go to the "Displays" tab and where it says "monitor" click on it and set the max refresh rate at 85. In games like cs you can you use a program called refresh lock or refresh fix to fix the problem. I use refresh lock and lock the rate at 85Hz @ 1024 rez.

type in the console fps_max 99
or just add that line to your config.cfg file
 
I don't get frezes per say, but I do have a bad problem. In Aquanox and 3dMark2001 Nature I get terrible texture flashing/dropping problems. Can someone QP me about that? 'sides that, all other games are wonderful. Just lousy lousy lousy AA performance.
Oh, BTW, system specs

Have you tried the 6043 drivers??
 
its never frozen on mine, modded/overclocked to 275/275 from 8500LE, no one on rage3d.com has reported freezing problems associated with the hardware itself... maybe it's a software problem. =\
 
I have experienced lockups or freezes when trying out the newer beta
releases. However, that is not to be unexpected since beta = buggy.

Using the official 9009 with 98se, as expected, no problems.

I really get ticked off when people use unapproved drivers (with any product),
run into problems, and then bitch about in open fora.


 
Works great with me.

Using drivers 6025 for XP with no problems.
