POST Error

Currently have plugged into a Chaintech VNF3-250 with Phoenix BIOS

AGP Video Card
A64 3000+ with retail heatsink
Power Switch
Main motherboard power and the 4 prong one
Mouse and Keyboard
1 Stick of RAM

When I power up nothing displays on the monitor and it seems like I just get a one second beep, followed by a 2 second pause, then another one second beep, and so on doing the same thing over and over (I turned it off after about 20 seconds). I tried to look up some of the beep codes online but I don't really understand how to interpret them (match up what I have to the error).

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Usally it has something to do with hardware not all being "happy".

You might have already tried this but, try unplugging all hardware, then only plugging in what you need to post. RAM CPU AND VID CARD MAYBE 1 HD usally not needed though

Also double check all jumpers to make sure they are all set correctly.

Good Luck

Ah just figured this one out. The stick of RAM I was using was bad so I popped in another one. POSTed fine, yay 🙂
