ones good for some people , one for the rest. End of aguement. End of story. No flamewars, fanboys, frivilous statements, conjectors, lies, insults, misspellings, outright lies, or anything else. So there.

it depends maufacturing nobody can deny Intel is King. They are the best in the industry. Financially, no doubt Intel still. Product offering Intel has a lot....

Desktop micro still for me it depends. For heavy multitasking Intel but for gaming go for AMD and other single threaded apps.

Laptop micro go for Pentium M even Turion cant match this....

Server AMD has some edge specially with dual core but their dark horse is their chipset. Intel is one who makes the best chipsets plus Xeon has other chipset supporters.

Value PC go for AMD unless Intel decides their current pentium will now be branded as Celeron.

This post and poll is to see which company is more popular for CPU's just in case anybody is wondering.

popular & superior are 2 different things.

Intel sells more chips so it's popular but I think AMD's A64 is superior than intel's p4.

There are so many ways you can measure "betterness." AMD makes the better CPU's, but Intel sells more. You can't jsut say "which is better," it doesn't work.

Sorry for my choice of words about being better and superior I ment more popular.

If you ask Popular then Intel wins because they sell a lot more chips than AMD.

If you sell more you're more popular.

End of useless poll.

Both!

They both make Great A++ Processors.

In the end it works out excellent for the customer.

If you feel like building a simi high-end PC, you can choose either AMD or Intel and end up with a kickass puter.

I think AMD is better since its name is only 3 letters compared to Intel's 5.

Well, amd stands for... Advanced micro devices which is 20 letters and
intel stands for... intelligence electronics which is 23 letters.

#1: Cyrix! Cyrix! Cyrix!

#2: IDT(makers of the Winchip!)

#3: Um, Transmeta?

#4: Running out of good(bad) ideas, so I'll just say XGI and call it a day
