Post count information

What is the possibility of making the post count smarter (so it would tell you a total for all forums, and maybe a total in that particular forum), or perhaps a putting the user rating with every post.

It would help people decide if they are getting informed information or not.

Not possible.

Post count is stored as an agreggated column in a table, there is no information to say in what category any particular post occurred.

Yeah, it would be nice to be able to get that sort of information, but the database is firmly designed for speed rather than to be properly third normal form.
Understandable for forums the size of AT 🙂

Might be needed. Some people sure have a lot to post. Of course it is useless information about things they have no idea about.

but be some way to signify this.

Are you guy's aware of how "accurate" user ratings are?

no, we are more talkign about a way to judge the value of peoples votes.

just because you post 100k times doesnt mean you knwo what you are talkign about, or maybe they are all in the off topic boards.

Anyhow, it's a feature that you need to bring up with Fusetalk, not Anandtech.
