He's been silent all day when he's never done this before. I think finally the lone neuron has signaled a danger and Trump is laying low. Of course he has memory processing errors and won't remember that warning, but the longer he remains quiet the greater the fear.

I'm confused, I thought the more he tweets, the greater the fear. It must be difficult keeping the lies straight, huh?

Just wait for it.

I'm getting concerned. Who do I call if I think the police need to do a welfare check on our president? Perhaps he's fallen and can't get up?

News reports have said he spent today with his lawyers. To me this strongly indicates that they have told him he is in substantial legal jeopardy, so tweeting about this is a really bad idea.

I guess good for him that he's able to heed advice so long as it's about him personally.

I feel quite confident that within 7 days he will forget their advice and start tweeting about Comey.

Either he's stewing and will erupt soon or the legal team has prevailed on him for the moment to show restiant but he will erupt later.

Based on what I read and saw in his speech he seems combative and thinks he's been proven right which feeds his instinct to fight it out as usual. Buckle up.

Think of it as Donald's way of asserting his fifth amendment rights...

I'm looking forward to Trump's tweets more and more especially since Spicey said that they are official statements. I watched the entire meeting and the non verbal tells of the Republicans said "Shit, how do we distance ourselves from this idiot" with one or two exceptions. The one that interested me is the guy (can't remember his name) which requested Comey get the copy of the memo passed on to his friend. There was something behind that request besides the reasons given, I'll bet on that.

He had his son tweeting up a shitstorm in his place.
Wouldn't be surprised to find out that was Trump telling him what to tweet.

He may have actually listened to his lawyers telling him to stay off twitter. That anything he posts could end up being used against him.

Yes, that exchange did seem to be weighty. It definitely stood out to me. No clue of it was actually poignant but it had that flavor to me, from both men.

Comey's testimony also lays down an incredible perjury minefield for whoever comes after him. Trump went after the worst person he possibly could have.

I have to say that firing Comey appears to have been a catastrophic mistake.

Apparently Jared Cushner is a fucking idiot.

Of course the "non-verbal tells said" that, since nothing of the kind was actually said in the meeting. Anyway, have fun wallowing in your delusions.

Yea, it now appears pretty epic in its staggering foolishness.

One of the many things Trump didn't think of is that once Comey was terminated Exec. Priv. is inapplicable. Comey has been given the freedom to discuss anything not classified and even that can be done in closed session.

It's a matter of time, hopefully sooner than later. Mueller will be bringing Rogers and Coats in without doubt and they will not have the option of refusing to answer about interference. In fact it may be the reason they didn't talk about it during the hearing so as to not influence the investigation in a public forum.

Considering all that's happened and is portended the fact that Trump hasn't secured a top flight political legal team to defend him is kind of crazy. His personal defense guy does not seem at all equal to the task ahead.

Though that assumes he can find others willing to represent him at this point...
