Post Code Meanings

Hi -

I am looking for a source to translate HEX post codes for my Tyan Tomcat 7210. Their website does not supply the post codes.

The post code that I am receiving during init is AF.

I've googled it.

I must be a crappy search operator - found a bunch of Post Codes, but none with AF as the code.

Based on this page, AF translates to "System boot initialization" for an AMI 2.2 BIOS. I don't know what BIOS your Tyan board uses though.
And I'm afraid I can't say for sure what exactly System Boot Initialization means.

Have you tried the usual - remove all the non-essentials, and then try booting? Try the Reset CMOS jumper?
