Another, but not exactly spelling..........

When you hear could've, would've, should've, it's NOT Could of, Should of, would of......

They are contractions for would have, could have, should have..................

teh

pwn and it's ilk
i instead of I
any "leet speak"
to/too

Any lack of punctuation too. Everyone makes mistakes, but when I see: "i liek too eat chikn", instead of "I like to eat chicken.", I just have to wonder. You have forever to proof read.

writing MAC in all capital letters like that is annoying. You don't see people writing DELL and GATEWAY and OPTIPLEX, do you?

I would like to criticize my own spelling since I have a tendency to spell everything phonetically, and the English language isn't too keen on that.

one female = woman
more than one = women

One first year college student = freshman
more than one = One first year college student = freshmen

I'm sorry if I loose you on this post, but I'll try to be coherent. Part of teh problem with bad spelling is in part stupid people who do it on purpose. Like when they say "pwn" and stuff like that. It is kind of reediculous actually. ndeee points something else out... it is kind of a repect issue as well. Their is no way you should mispell someones nick... it is right they're!

But I think that the core issue is the teachers... to them congradulations! Alot of the spelling problems are your fault :| Its alot of hard work, for sure, but its your JOB. i think you could have at least not totally fuxored it up.

If you are a freshmen in college, you should be able to know how to spell. But too many teachers (particularly all the woman teachers) haven't educated you properly through out your lower education. Even if you take a year off, and than go to college, you should be able to have had enough of a proper education to retain enough to excell.

college = education after high school
collage = generally a collection of pictures or material, like in art class

Things not spelled correctly irritate me in general. I don't see what's so difficult about spelling words right and using them correctly.

The biggest thing that bothers me is when people use duel instead of dual. Are the CPUs going to fight it out or something?:)

A LOT is two works, not one! :)

works of what? ;)

Yeah yeah, so I suck! I fixed it...was TYPO, NOT spelling! :p

I'm annoyed when members screw up there, their and they're.

The ones about "it's" and "its," "should of" and "should've," "prolly" and "probably," and "alot" and "a lot." In addition "quite" and "quiet."
