iomega Zip external pata drive with 100MB disks.

what a fucking waste, it was $100 for the drive with a disk, and another $12 per disk. it was painfully slow. added to that, drivers were a bitch. i lost the original driver floppy, and the replacement drivers you could download were bigger than a floppy...and this was well before writable CDs were around.

grrr.

haha my college used those for all our assignments. it was tough when our animation projects were over 97MB. had to span zip them across multiple zip disks. and the click of death was the worst sound you could ever hear when you were trying to retrieve the previous days work. this would be the silliest one for me too.

This thing. What a piece of crap. It was supposedly programmable and would work with the ATI tv tuner software which was my plan to use it like a tv remote. It would barely work whether you were 15 feet away or 2 inches. You couldn't change channels in the ATI software. Worked with PowerDVD alright, but trying to fast forward or skip chapters was ridiculous because it would lag or not send a signal and you'd end up fast forwarding too far or changing 5 chapters when you wanted 1. Terrible piece of technology.

I didn't buy it, but I was given a Diamond Mako Organizer thingy. I don't even know if it worked, I never used it and I was in the 7th grade at the time. I was just happy to receive a new something.. until i realized it had no use at all for me.

Don't forget the "click of death".

I had three of those in my life.

Toshiba Mobilphile

This was a terrible device all around.

1) It name sounds like Pedophile. Nice work Toshiba
2) It's storage was a 5GB PCMCIA card. Cool- but it used Fat16 only
3) It encoded MP3's into a proprietary format that only the device could read- the software to convert the files was buggy and sllloowwwwwwwww.

$200 of fail 🙁

Pulled a CueCat out of a Radio Shack clearance bin for a couple bucks a long time ago. Still have it in the sealed box. Pinning my hopes on its value eventually appreciating.

PS/2 or USB?

I liked the idea and wished I had a chance to use one before they shut them down.

I think its USB even.
Had grand plans to catalog my DVD collection. haha

I have an iPaq still sitting in my closet from over 10 years ago. What a horrible piece of shit that turned out to be...

Otherwise, I got suckered into buying a package of the "electronic pest repellers" at Costco in the 90's. IMO, not worth the electricity to run them...<facepalm>

4100 Lumens
15 minute life
$300

This light is crazy. Too bad the battery doesn't last long.

jesus christ, 15 minutes?

Its a 100W bulb.

1) WL is a bad company! Don't support their practice!
2) This is nothing more than a modified mag light - called a "hotwires". You can make one for considerably less money if you're handy. Text
