Ok 2 shockers:

I thought NuclearNed was at least in his 50's given all the experiences he posts about ;)

Howard... wth??? I pictured you as some 50's possibly retiring white guy too!

Oh also VI Edit - Went to Woodford Reserve just this past weekend, was awesome!

Oh the smell of the barrel house. I would pay to just smell that again. Earth, sweet luscious bourbon, and oak. AMAZING.

My only complaint was the relatively short pour of bourbon they give you at the end. The double oak was an experience though. I can't find it locally (and I live 20 minutes from the distillery). May have to drive back there and grab a bottle.

Yes my friend and I both agreed the double oak was awesome.

We had our wives with us who passed us their shots, so got to experience it twice ;)

I've not had bourbon that I can recall prior to taking the road trip to all those distilleries. Now, I just might buy a bottle or 2.

We did the $25 tour at Evan Williams visitor center and you get to try 4 or 5 bourbons... They had this bourbon that they don't sell right now that was awesome... wish I could remember the name. But the William Heavenhill was really good... but it's $130/bottle. My friend got one.
