I wish I could get someone to take pictures when the surf is epic. The swell is 20+ft @ 20sec, the tide is rising, and the wind is blowing offshore, creating surf that is 3x+ overhead, barrels that can hide a VW bus. Man, if I could get some pictures like that....

Too bad it seems like bringing a camera to the beach is a guarantee of flat waves :|

We actually have this one kayaker who will come out on the biggest days. Hardcore mother fvcker let me tell you. I dont mind you people, although I do get a little nervous when there is a little bit of a crowd and a kayaker out.

But yeah, I know the curse of the camera and flat sessions. You mind me asking where you surf at?

I do my best to stay away from surfers/spongers. I have been doing it for some years, and I am very agile in the water. But at 40 pounds, a runaway boat is pretty nasty, and even the best of us get rolled every now and again. I have a leash that tethers my paddle to the boat. When I get dumped, I hug the paddle, which at least prevents the boat from getting more than 10' away or so. Although in bigger surf, I'd have to use a breakaway leash to avoid snapping the paddle, so the boat would still go quite far.

I most often surf in Brigantine, NJ. It's generally small surf (4-6') but on that day, it was barely 2'!

That's a nice shooting bench, mind saying where it is, fellow Ohioan?
I wonder if I could make something similar out of concrete...hmmm, I sense a summer project here :)
It's a Shooting / Fishing club we belong to in Bellefountaine, Ohio. It's like $40 a year and you can go fishing/shooting (4 ranges), clay pigeon shooting year round as much as you want. They have ranges from 50 yards, to 500 yards.

Oh, and I always wear ear muffs, I don't remember why I wasn't in that picture. I have some of these, except mine are black. And I only paid $90 for mine...4 years ago that is.
