I finally found a desk which I like, so I replaced one that I had been using for like seven years.

Let's see your desk.

From a pornological perspective, wouldn't it make more sense to mount those one above the other?

Personally im a huge anti-fan of keyboard draws. I much prefer a deep desk so that I can just push my keyboard closer or futher away from the monitor. With teh keyboard drawer, to get access to the desktop space you have to scoot closer in which then cuts off the room you would have to extend out the keyboard and vice versa.

I'm the same way, but unfortunately this is the deepest desk I can have in my room without seriously rearranging things. The desk is kind of low, but other than that I really like it.

have you considered some ergotron LCD mounts? that could free up some much needed desk real estate so yo dont have to deal w/ the stupid keyboard drawer.

I've never liked the drawer either and was initially happy I found a nice desk without one. However, I like my desk to be fairly high for general use but it ends up hurting my shoulders when typing or just sitting using the computer for a while. If I try to raise the chair then my legs don't fit.
