somehow...the word cheap in that line just doesn't suprise me....

Considering the most "demanding" game I play is "Simpsons: Hit & Run" I think I can get away with a Dell :)

I've always heard that Dell wasn't the way to go.

Then again, I customize everything for my pc, so Dell probably ISN'T the way to go

but my needs are different then yours. Happy that you found something you are happy with! (well, i assume your happy with your purchase ;) )

Aside from the case sucks compared to the previous 45xx I'm happy with it.

running memtest on a pair of 512MB PC3200 sticks I had just received. To my dismay I couldn't get them stable at anything over 205mhz and I can't push enough voltage to override the CH5 limiters without a volt mod which I don't feel I am capable of doing. :(

I've changed a few things in the case since then but I'd have to take a new picture to show you.

sh!t I tell everyone to go Dell now....esp refurbs...that is the most bang for the buck.

I am contemplating just upgrading from a 1GB PIII-S 1.5GHz machine and bumping the 8500 128MB Radeon to a 9800 Pro.....I am looking at $700 minus the proceeds from my current machine's parts....with dell I could come to the same performance and have no problems for 90+% of user's out there.

I've seen some crazy deals from the Dell Outlet like LOADED 8400's for $485 with free shipping.

You cannot beat that even if you build it yourself with parts from NewEgg.com

Dell is for folks who just want a complete system...which is fine for a lot of people...

But it's not for everyone.

I wouldn't recommend dell for everyone. however, those who i woudln't recommend dell to, they wouldn't be needing my advise as to where to go either ;)
