What the hell is this thing? I thought I was pretty educated when it came to the animal kingdom...but I'm stumped. It is obviously related to the Armadillo...but this thing looks really...dangerous.

Answer is a couple above. It's a Pangolin. According to Animal Planet it's unrelated to anything else on the planet. I was going to guess anteater (since it eats a lot of them and the nose looks the same), but I was wrong, it's in it's own little phylum (or whatever, I don't remember all the categories).
They showed guys chasing it (tends to come out at night) and would curl up into that little ball, like Sonic the Hedgehog
