race results from my first autoX...i was only ~5 seconds off the leader and this guy is /really/ good and has been racing for years....5 seconds isn't that bad considering it was my first time and most n00bs are like 10+ seconds off the leader of their class

Awesome, another autocrosser :). As soon as I saw STS, i knew it was autocross.

5 seconds isn't bad at all for your first time out. Most of the time on your first runs you are too busy just trying to stay on course! Keep driving, get more seat time, and thats absolutely the best way to get better. Sooner or later, You'll be right there with him :).

I've been doing it for a little over a year, but I havn't really been that active until the past 6 months, and I feel like I'm getting better at every event. I'm by no means a quick driver, but I think I am decent. I think the sport is an absolute blast :).

I autocross too :)

EDIT: I forgot to post what I'm proud of! Here is my pride and joy :)

I thought I did a decent job painting (considering I'm a horrible artist).

Otherwise, in a month I'm going to have somthing that I will be more proud of than anything else I've ever had/accomplished in my life. A gold bar :)
