Myth: It takes one to know one.

Actually, it takes two. The other just says hi in the morning.

OpenSolaris is a stable operating system, just as good, if not better than Linux.

Actually, it is a blight and while I am sure there is nothing wrong with the commercial distribution of Solaris, OpenSolaris is buggy and unstable... at least on Sun x86 desktop PCs.

You'll catch a cold from being outside without enough layers.

Actually, you'll get hypothermia.

Myth: Low-carb diets can put your body in a state of ketosis and can kill you.

Definitely not true. For someone who has diabetes, ketosis is something to be concerned about, but you won't die from it.

If you don't have diabetes, then you have NOTHING to worry about, and the effects (slight headache, fatigue, bad breath) will disappear within a couple weeks.

The early bird gets the worm...

You have to be careful about this myth. Procrastination can save you a lot of trouble. The early worm gets eaten by the bird, too.

Liquor before beer, you're in the clear.

As long as you're not drinking wine/beer or something, it just depends on whether or not you know how to drink.
