Ive noticed there are a god awful lot of Depressed people on this fourm. Im one of them. Hell, probaly the guy who posts next is to (proove me wrong, please). Kinda blows how the majority of us are all depressed. I kinda use these fourms as an escape route. All the funny stuff posted, good entertainment. But yeah...

I was thinking we should make everyone happy, at least for a moment or 2.

So post your happiest moment (or at least a happy moment) in your life.

Here is mine, not the happiest, but a good one:
It had to have been my Homecomming Dance Senior Year. I was with this beautiful girl, and we both had this thing for eachother. I bought new clothes and a new tie for the dance. She wore this very beautiful red dress that looked very nice. When the slow dances came on we danced really close, that was the best part. The feel of her and the smell and just everything. It felt so perfect. I wished those songs would last forever because I felt so good. We just danced held eachother. It was amazing. It was a wonderful night. She was amazing. Just the way we held eachother. Mabye, if I fell like it, ill dig that picture up (the ones you pay $$$ for at the dance) and post it.

Anyone else got one?

I suspect 99% of the replies to be regarding a girl, or thier computer. :p So... I'll choose something different...

When I got a 1380 on my SAT. Nothing quite beats the feeling saying "STFU" to your parents w/o getting your @ss beat. :p:eek: This is after all the whining and b1tching about my grades and saying I was too stupid to get into a UC or any college in fact except a community one.

Getting my 2 year degree at 15 was fun...

Except they announced some 17 year old as the youngest ever to graduate from the school.

I'm not depressed. I think life is just fvcking great. When they amputate my other testicle I will think life is even better. Just think, I won't have to worry about some asshole kicking me in the balls!

When she said Yes 31 years ago, to be the mother of my 7 children and soulmate. It will get better than that when we are sealed for time and all eternity. No joy can compare to the blessing of having a loving, understanding, beautiful spouse. Unless, of course, we are sealed together, family and all, forever. That is the epitimy of the joy that started 31 years ago.:D

The birth of each of my 3 children have to be the best moments of my life. Nothing can compare to looking down at your newborn and saying "hi" for the first time.

Good idea... maybe I can even think of a few.

Top three happiest moments were when each of my babies were handed to me, and we met face to face. A close fourth was looking into a lover's eyes and recognizing eternal love. It's kind of the same feeling as when you look into your child's eyes for the first time and have that recognition... "Hey! It's You! Hooray!"

More recently, it was when the avocado seed I planted sprouted. :) I have tried to grow avocado from a pit for years with no success, and FINALLY it happened. And again, there is sort of a, "Hey! I was waiting for you to show up, and miracle of miracles, here you are!" kind of thing. You just know that life goes on somehow, and that if you keep trying, eventually your efforts will come to something. It's a nice feeling.

I'm thinking it's not worth posting unless it's a ground breaking happy moment... I can't really think of any. I am not an unhappy person, but I haven't been extatic in a freaking long time over anything... oh well...

coming back from a concert on the other side of the state... it was getting late and we were tired so we decided to spend the night in the van. got some jack in the box, parked on some side road (this is out in the country), and watched the stars lying on the top of the van. my friend rolled into me and i realized how much she meant to me.

there was this one happy time when i had enough to eat instead of having to fill my belly with water from the gutter to staunch the hunger.

Understandable. Another persons happy moment, wont have even close to the same emotional impact on you as it has them naturally.

hmm...well this Ford Taurus station wagon with an exhaust tip and ricer decals was following me around for about 20 minutes tonight trying to get me to race him. We eventually came to a stoplight, it turned green, and my 107 HP Civic and I proceeded to give this guy and his station wagon the shaft. I backed off at 85 (we were on an empty highway btw) and he did the ol' ricer fly-by in his domestic riced out POS. My friends and i got a good laugh out of it, so it was a pretty happy moment. (for the record, the only mod i have on my car is a 15$ muffler, and the the only decal i have says "United States Air Force". I AM NOT a ricer. :))
