Possibly the most important science breakthrough happened today (not really)

Lock this thread, very misleading title.....no scientific breakthrough as claimed has ever happened. 🙄🙄🙄

What’s the latest? Can I buy it now?

My last power bill was $389.xx D:

What do you set your AC to 60 and leave the doors open? Actually got a neighbor that does that, haven't asked what his power bill is.

I just had a customer with a smaller house than mine tell me his electric bill is $300 in the summer. I haven't had a bill over $125 all summer, $389 is more than my mortgage.

A couple factors. For one, my new roommate doesn't understand that setting the thermostat to 60 degrees doesn't make it get cool more quickly.

Also, there's clearly something wrong with the AC installation. It's cold under the house and that area is not sealed in any way. It's a very old house and it appears to use the crawl space as return with no duct. I can stand outside by one of several crawlspace vents and doorways to the crawlspace and feel cold air while I'm standing out in the Georgia summer heat. Our AC unit is trying to cool the entire planet!

The first time I had a bill over $300 (last summer), the landlord lady said "yeah that's about how it was for me when I lived there." (!!!)

It's time to let it go...

Let me guess, fan of Disney's Frozen?

Also, Madame President has been awol for almost a year 🙁

OT but my wife was having irritating problems with some of her co-workers. So I texted her she should be like Elsa.

She sent back ‘I should Let it go? 😡‘ obviously ready to tear me a new one when I got home for not backing her when she was right.

I replied ‘of course not. I meant create an abominable snowman to crush your enemies’.
😀

I'd keep harping on her about it if she refuses to fix it I'd put rent in escrow until she fixes it. I do hvac for a living not only are you wasting money with duct work like that its probably sucking in all kinds of mold and humidity from the crawlspace.

Oh no! Surely not after six years of blessed inactivity!

Unless this is a nostalgic look back at a famous thread from the past as ATOT enters its twilight, it really is time to let it go... 😔
