This is from the tcwo.com ad in Computer Shopper I got today, you have to call 1-800-394-4503 to get it..however they are closed now..I don't have a scanner, sorry!

 
since advertisers submit their ads to computer shopper long before publication, and because subscribers receive the magazine before the month begins, many advertisers will not honor prices until the beggining of the month of the magazine. this has happened to me several times. ymmv.
 
TCWO has these specials on Pricewatch.com all the time.

BTW- TCWO.com has been great to deal with! Good prices on alot of stuff, and $6.95 flat shipping rate up to 150lbs.
 
Yeah, the processors are OEM. For $6.99, you can buy a fan too, and TWCO will give you a 3 year warranty. Those are NICE prices though, i must admit! I might just pick up a handful of 1500+ processors for future customers. TWCO's salesmen are great to deal with too. And, most importantly, shipping is only 6.99 flat rate for up to 180 pounds! Too bad the rest of their prices aren't as good as their processors.
 
Ditto on praise for TCWO.

I'm curious, are there any motherboards that let you set the PCI divider that would allow overclocking of the 1600+ to the level of the 2000+? Since the FSB operates at 133 MHz, boosting the FSB to 166 MHz with the same multiplier would do that, but you would need to run the PCI bus closer to spec, preferably with a divider of 5 instead of 4 (166/5=133/4=33MHz). You would also need higher speed memory than normal--DDR 2700 would do the trick.
 
I think the Iwill XP333(R) has the PCI divider so you can overclock the CPU, Video and RAM without having to worry about PCI device stability.
 
I'm sorrey how many times are you guys going to fall for this? TCWO has been doing this same scam since feb. in multiple magazines. They list extremely low prices only to then fall back on the fine print, stating how prices can rise and fall and they are not responsible. Everybody who has ordered from TCWO, (me included) then praises them for good service/prices and the free roll of lifesavers with every purchase. This time they get no praise though, TCWO IS DOING THIS ON PURPOSE, it's an age old tactic that we see all the time. They have something for $50 less than what it should be, we all go to the website and gawk and bitch about the price not being right but then notice something else is at a good price so we buy it.

Rant over just wanted you people to open your eyes and see that this B.S. has been happening for 2 months maybe more, and on top of that these prices are even more of a lowball than last time.:disgust:

i've ordered their processors 6 times so far, and they gave me the lowest price I could find (be it in a mag ad, or on pricewatch) without a hassle. The only thing is they won't give you a warranty unless you buy a fan to go with the processor, but I guess that kinda makes sense, you don't want morons trying to install a chip without a heatsink/fan on it!
 
TCWO consistently has the lowest prices on OEM cpu's. I've bought several from them and have been very pleased with their prices and service. In fact you can get a 1600+ right now for $89 + 6.95 shipping. That's a great price. S13SilviaK I'm not sure what you're smoking but you might want to quit. Or maybe order something from TCWO and enjoy the free Lifesavers.
 
i just checked the website..and i dont see the xp 1600 for 89$... please verify these prices... im looking for a 1600
