I had a two-part error:
When clicking on a link that opened a new window, the new window wouldn't go to the site. You could copy and paste the link into the address bar, but that was ass-crappy.
When using the Find function (Ctrl+F) it would say
Error 34. Incompatible with RPC stub.
After replacing the oleaut32.dll file in my Windows/System directory with one from the year 1998 (basically an old version of it), both got fixed.
Running Windows 98 SE, ECS K7S5A, 128MB SDR SDRAM, AMD Duron.
