Possibly good deal on SCSI raid card for $79

Compgeeks has an IBM ServeRAID raid card, part number
70G8489 for $79. (System pulls).

I don't know much about this card (it's based on Adaptec
chips), and the lack of support for any Windows platform
except WinNT/Win2000 is gonna make it undesirable
to a lot of people. But it does look like a decent SCSI
raid card...Original price on this card (card is about
three years old, I believe) was in the thousands...

...anyone with knowledge of this card care to comment
further...

I'm guessing it's a SCSI-2 base...probably limited to 40 MB/s....which wouldn't be good for todays SCSI drives, especially if you want to run in RAID 1 mode (fast).

For RAID 0 , it would be nice however....
