I've called all the Walmarts in the DC area.... none to be found. Very weird though, one clerk said that they haven't had any for about 2 months, but they were expecting more in....(yeah right).

Ok, how do I do this? I just go into wal-mart with this printed out and ask for that price? What do I say when they ask where I got this?

Can we use this reciept to pricematch at other stores?

*UPDATE*

Northtown (Blaine) Wal-Mart in Minnesota says they do not show this product number, 3784991837, in their system.

I'm on the phone with another local Wal-mart to verify. I hope I can get in on this one... It'd be perfect to compliment my new system. :)

Burning hot if you are caught up in having the latest waste of technology. With blank media $10-$30 each, why bother with DVD. Do you really need larger media than CDs?

I'm sure many would buy it just to sell it on Ebay... nice profit...

Maybe calling your local Walmart and just asking if they have any DVD-ROM's is a good way to start - if its anything like the Walmart close to me (but not really local) they might know what that is, but DVD Burner will give them trouble.

if i cant do it at walmart i will go to best buy across the street and get it there.. lol i wanna see there look on there faces when i try to PM.. if that doesnt work you can always try pming CC...

you could do this acualty

500(price BB sells it at)-84 = 416 plus 110percent (thats the difference)
so 84-41 = $43

its really FAR FETCHED but still you can always try

True, I don't need a DVD writer but this would make some big $$$ on ebay.

Brooklyn Park, MN Wal-Mart shows 0 in stock, and the same goes with the rest of the local stores. Bummer...

(Did I hear a PM at Best Buy, though?) :)

I just realized that the PM policy at most B&M stores only applies if the store you're PMing to has the item in stock. Damn.

i know at MY best buy they could care less if the other store has it in stock or not.. i have gotten many a deal because they are too lazy to call... YMMV though... i thought i would just throw it out there to see if anyone had any ideas of what we could do if walmart doesnt come through

Well it can read DVDs, think of it as an overpriced DVD drive until the DVD media prices come down. I just want to see my teacher p!ss his pants when I tell him I paid under $100 for my DVD burner when he spent $300(after rebates). :)

To bad I called and the guy said they don't have them. Now if i could just drive to check, my dad probably won't drive me since he drove me for the BB burner deal and we kinda aren't talking now for other reasons. Why can't I drive now??? Take the bus maybe...
