Im in the closing arragements of a deal for my desktop for a Dell based laptop,my only concerns hinge on warranty,the individual bought the notbook off of ubid,it is a newer laptop.Does anyone know what type of warranty,if any this would fall under.Im concerned that if it breaks ill be left in the dark in terms of repair costs etc,wjere as i can rma my desktop parts even though i dont have a manu's warranty per se.Lappy owners id like to hear from you guys. 🙂
 
In the past, I've been able to request for warranty on laptops(Dell & Gateway) despite the fact that I'm not the original owner. they honered the remaining warranty on the laptops. I would call and verify with your manufacturer.
 
Also check the price of a refurbished one bought from Dell, as a comparison. Personally I'd rather buy from them.
