Possibly a couple of guys interested in some CS:S tonight?

Hey guys. A friend and I are going to play some random matches tonight in CS:S, and I was wondering if a couple more guys were interested in hooking in to play on the same team. We will be playing some CT action on whatever server we find, and will use Ventilo amongst ourselves to work as a team (the best we can anyhow).

Now, if someone wants to play, we must play on the same team. Yes, the game has in-game chat, but it's nowhere near as good as Ventrilo. With 3 or 4 of us, we can work as a small team, and hopefully follow some of the better players. I will be hosting the Ventrilo server on my own machine, so there can be no more than just a few of us.

If you want to hop in there with us, you must be willing to stick together. It'll be a nice experiment on team work if nothing else. Hell, we'll probably get our asses pwned.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Ask this again in a week and I'll be up for some 🙂

How does one "tune in" to your ventrillo server?

I've been thinking about running CS:Source on my server late evenings, so I would be willing to run it 9:30 or 10 tonight.

After Hours IP: 24.184.18.59:27015

Mic + In game CS Voice = better then 3rd party software that i'll never use

OTOH, I'll prolly only play if its on a decent server, not hosted off of someones cable connection where iget 150 ping :/

I give you the IP, and you log in. Simple as that. Want me to email you the client? 1.3MB. Or you can head to ventrilo.com and download it there. Version 2.2.0 I believe. I have the server up and running at the moment, just sitting here for no reason at all if you want to try and connect. I can PM you the IP.

You couldn't be more wrong. Have you ever used a third-party VOIP program? They are typically superior to anything in-game will offer. Especially if you want to get into seperate channels for seperate teams and such. The voice quality is just so much better.

As for a decent server, I will not be hosting any games on my connection. I'll just find a fast server online, and we'll play.

blurredvision, just for you i'll install that ventrillo program, but it'll probably be un installed right when we're done 😛

😀 I think you'll like it. Much more efficient for getting teamwork done if we actually get used to talking to each other on it.

EDIT: Download link incase you can't find it.
