possiblilities of 2.66@3.4+

I just bought a 2.66ghz p4 (obviously c1 stepping) that is known to go to 3.1ghz on 1.725vcore on air cooling
I am putting it in an Asus p4g8x delux mobo and im using watercooling What are the chances that it will reach 3.4+ghz

That's really hard to say without actually running it, testing it, benching it. But, if it runs 3.1 on 1.725v (is this the actual voltage needed?), I'd say it's pretty much topping out. It's not really recommended to run the P4's at ~1.7v. You want to keep it under it... Have fun~

I can get my 2.66B up to 3.24ghz and thats the end of it... not much room after that

darn so i probly shoulda got a 2.4b oh well 3.2ghz will be fine for now

Well, if you don't get a C1, you probably won't get to 3 GHz with a 2.4B, so I think you made a wise choice going with the 2.66.
